JAM OF THE WEEK: Nurko – With You (feat. Misdom)

New Jersey raised Nurko has had a pretty exciting year so far, with his recent releases reaching six figure streams, the bubbling producer shows no sign of letting up.

This time he’s stunned us again with his collaboration featuring Misdom entitled, “With You” This chill, melodic Trap song is a slow jam, but it’s undoubtedly anthemic as it builds.  Sounding like a modern day ballad, the track opens simply with keys, atmospheric sounds and deep vocal samples echoing throughout the soundscape.  With Misdom soaring on the vocals, the tune pulls at your heart strings from the first note.

Emotive, thought provoking, well produced and beautiful – this track has me all up in my feelings.  Beyond the vocals, the production is clean, dynamic and perfectly executed.  With plenty of space and time to hook the listener, Nurko builds up to a huge Future inspired drop with captivating synths, vocal chops and pumping drums. The resolution of tension within the chord progression is spine tingling. It’s as if every sound is in a state of elongated intoxication, stretching your hunger to hear more. Our millennial ears are so accustomed to hearing fast and intense music; it really makes this track stand out as unique by being allowing us to hear every detail.

Behind the music, it’s always warming to see an artist directly respond and interact with their fans – with every audience comment receiving some personal love and attention. It’s evident to hear how much time and effort has been put into this track, so the fact that he makes it available for Free Download makes it that much more special.

Without a doubt this is the JAM OF THE WEEK.
