Josh Tobias Drops A Jam for His ‘Old Friends’

If you are not yet familiar with Brooklyn bred artist Josh Tobias, the time is now.  Having recently released his 4th single of 2018, “Old Friends”, JT once again showcases his songwriting prowess and ability to craft memorable and accessible jams.

From a young age, Josh was introduced to music by his father Toby Tobias, a world-traveling professional musician.  Learning to play guitar as a child, Josh continued to hone his skills before finally launching as an artist of his own.  After self-releasing a string of successful singles, Josh was able to find support from the likes of The Dancing Astronaut, IndieShuffle, KickKickSnare, ThisSongIsSick, Earmilk, YourEDM, and tastemaker channels TheVibeGuide.Since his first single he has seen spins on Sirius XM Hits 1 and landed his most recent single in Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday (South Africa).  Not confined by genres, Josh Tobias touches on Pop, Soul, Country, Blues, House and Disco.  His new single, “Old Friends”, is a certified jam that brings a laid back Pop vibe that is undeniable from the very beginning.Over a clean and mellow production, which he also created, Josh brings a nostalgic and melancholy narrative about past friendships that comes in stark contrast to the beautifully melodic production that lays beneath the vocals.  Rich keys, fat basslines, plucked guitar rhythms and some percussion are all that are needed here to make this one make maximum impact.

After you give the new tune a listen make sure you check out some of his previous releases below and keep an eye out – I’m sure he has a lot more up his sleeve.
