Lo Boii Makes Debut with Smooth AF ‘Floor Seats’

Sometimes when a new artist lands on radar you can’t help to question what is going on behind the scenes.  Sometimes a brand new artist comes out of the box with an absolute smash – and sometimes greater powers are at work in the background coming together in a new form – enter Lo Boii.

Comprised of multi-platinum producer/writer Aalias and writer/ vocalist Corey Latif, Lo Boii is a new project that sees both powerhouses coming together to create a whole new vibe.  While Aalias is best known for  co-producing the Grammy-winning Eminem and Rihanna smash single “The Monster,” and DJ Snake and Bipolar Sunshine‘s worldwide hit “Middle” (while also lending a hand in producing for artists like Bebe Rexha, Melanie Martinez, Kevin Garrett, Robin Schulz and Ro James), Corey Latif, mentored by Teddy Pendergrass, wrote Usher‘s single “Crash” and has been nominated for two Grammys for his songwriting.  He’s has written for artists ranging from The Roots, Saint Jhn, Snakehips, Two Feet, Chris Brown, and more. With their new project Lo Boii, both artists blend contemporary R&B with incredible Pop sensibilities and modern production techniques to create an undeniable vibe that is full of sauce, depth and groove.  Their debut single, “Floor Seats”, relies on minimal yet dynamic production peppered with intricate touches while the vocals absolutely soar.  The totally smooth debut also brings a bit of slap thanks to some stellar drum programming and a bit of bounce.  With the hook featuring a flip of Eric Clapton’s hit, “Change the World”, Lo Boii has found the perfect balance between nostalgic influence and new age swag.

This track is sexy af.  Add this to your Netflix and chill playlist and thank me later.
