Asmik Launches Solo Career with Debut Single ‘Nice’

Growing up surrounded by art and creativity can be a powerful thing.  Often times when someone grows up surrounded by creatives, trying to take a conventional route through life can almost seem torturous.  For Armenian born, Ukrainian raised Asmik, she had made up her mind about being an artist from a very young age.  Influenced by an eclectic mix of artists like Michael Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Rufus Du Sol, Diplo and Kygo, she began performing live at just 15 years old.

Since she began her journey as a vocalist, Asmik has already put together quite the resume.  From being a lead vocalist in a national jazz orchestra in Europe, to becoming a finalist in The Voice of Ukraine, there has been no doubt of her raw talent and infectious voice since the very beginning.  After taking a leap and moving to LA to further her career, Asmik is now ready to start sharing original tunes with the world. Her first offering, “Nice”, produces by Grammy Award-winning PK (for Chris Brown – Fine China), helps to introduce Asmik as a fresh faced Electro-Pop artist with an even fresher sound.  With clean, minimal, synthetic production setting the mood, Asmik delivers a beautiful performance that not only shows off her impressive range and stunning voice, but also fits perfectly inline with what is currently happening commercially.  Dynamic, bubbly and reflective, Asmik says about the track, “I’m inspired by who I am today because I am at the point in my life where I trust myself more than ever. I want my music to encourage all girls to be confident and appreciate themselves.
