French-African artist DJ 4Rain has dropped his latest track “Play The Beat”. It follows his collaboration with well-known rappers Quavo (Migos) and Prince Ink as well debut solo single “Call Me” which ranked #2 on the French Shazam charts, reaching #100 in the US and later 68th worldwide. His newest offering keeps the Summer vibes kicking with a yearning to keep the party going with great music. The track was inspired from an actual night out when a club DJ decided to tease the public by stopping the music before the drop; the entire club started chanting “Play the beat – play the beat” and the contrast between the music and sudden silence bred inspiration for 4Rain’s next track.
Prior to his solo projects, 4Rain aka Stephen Tavares was producer for Hip-Hop heavyweights like Meek Mill and Tory Lanez. His impressive accolades include two #1 spots on the Billboard charts for Meek Mill’s “Dreams Worth More Than Money” album and Tory Lanez “LUV”. Having reached Platinum status for his production work, we’re excited to watch him continue to soar as a solo artist.
