Raised in Indiana, now based in Nashville, multi-talented artist Jeffrey James is now prepped to release his latest project, “The East London EP“. Finding early inspiration from artists like Chicago and Bill Withers, Jeffrey found a love for music early on in his child, thanks in part to his great-uncle Hal Leonard. Now pulling from modern influences like Janelle Monáe, Jon Bellion, and Twenty One Pilots, Jeffrey James uses his powerful voice and knack for melody to create emotive jams that connect with the masses.
After traveling to London in early 2019, James linked with legendary UK producers Geoff Swan (Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay), Jackson Dimiglio-Wood (Shawn Mendes), Dan Weller (SikTh), and Dan McDougal (Liam Gallagher), to create his latest project which he has just announced along with the lead single, “Downtown“. On the new tune, he puts his raw vocals on full display over a minimal, piano driven production to create an inspirational and heart-wrenching jam. With bits of Soul mixed with Pop and some Electronic elements, “Downtown“, fires on all cylinders and helps to set the tone for what we can expect for the new project.
Exploring the peaks and valleys of a relationship, specifically the outside influences that sometimes creates chaos in an otherwise stable union, the first single is sure to hit listeners right in the feels. Make sure you add this one to your playlists.
