Conrad Ashton Celebrates Life With Upcoming Single

Conrad Ashton is a no-frills singer-songwriter from the North-East, UK who writes songs from the heart that will resonate with all, young and old alike. Ashton is an ambitious musician with a string of recent releases to his name. After Ashton’s release of single ‘Time’, he released an acoustic set of songs as a 4-track EP ‘No Post On Sundays’ on August 7th. He was recently featured in the iconic Clash Magazine (dreams do come true), and has his sights set firmly on his musical future. What can we expect? No gigs unfortunately given the current state of things (and Ashton is certainly one to see live, lighting up a room with his Northern banter and lively guitar-playing), but we can expect new music.

His next single ‘Celebrate Life,’ is, in Ashton’s words “an optimistic song about celebrating what you have in your life and being thankful for what is in it. As the world hopefully emerges from this pandemic we can come together more than ever and celebrate our lives!” Expect upfront vocals in an Elvis-meets-The-Who style, a catchy chorus, insatiable rock groove and bold guitar-playing. All instruments were played by Ashton and his long-time friend and supporter Mark Johnson, having met each other at college.

‘Celebrate Life’ is an unmissable song by an artist who is fast growing a dedicated fanbase. The single was mixed, mastered and engineered by Chris McManus at Blank Studios, Newcastle, after the song was written earlier that year by Ashton when he was feeling optimistic about the year ahead. Despite 2020 not having gone to plan, ‘Celebrate Life’ reminds us to appreciate what we have and to not take life too seriously.

‘Celebrate Life’ is out this 18th September 2020. Follow all things Conrad Ashton right here: www.conradashton.co.uk
