Hailing from the Netherlands, over-excited music boy Simon de Wit has been an unstoppable force over the last handful of years. With major collaborations under his belt alongside artists like Benny Sings, San Holo, Dayglow and Sheppard, he has been able to make some major waves in the scene – racking up millions of streams and a massive following. When he is not in the studio with other artists however, the creative mastermind has been turning heads with his solo material as Blanks. Launching in 2017, Blanks has developed a stellar catalog and the world has without a doubt taken notice. About his music he says, “Remember the song that played during that amazing summer with your friends? And the happy but melancholic way it makes you feel now? That’s what I want for my music. That in a few years, someone is listening to one of my songs and is reminded of that amazing summer with friends.

Most recently Blanks has unveiled his latest single, “What You Do To Me“, and it is a stunning, uplifting, synth-laden jam that is sure to lift spirits. Bringing along a throwback vibe and contemporary charisma, Blanks delivers a positively bopping tune that perfectly sets the tone for our upcoming summer months. Next time you take a long drive down the coast with your crush, you’re going to need to make sure this one is queued up and ready to rock. Just as cute as it is groovy, Blank’s latest single fires on all cylinders and is yet another standout addition to his already impressive catalog.

Since release, this has without a doubt been a go to mood booster for me… and I have no doubt that it will stayed locked in my playlists for a while to come. About the single, Blanks says, “I wanted to write a song that feels like an explosion of serotonin: ‘What You Do To Me’ feels just like that. Big synths, swinging drums, nostalgic vibes: I love it and I hope you too!” Stop stressing, throw a smile on your face and let this one rock. You won’t be disappointed.
