Hailing from the Netherlands, Cimo Frankel has been immersed in music nearly his whole life. With his father being a funk musician, Cimo grew up in studios watching his father and by the age of 15 he began to produce and write sons all his own. To date, he has racked up major writing/production credits including the multi-Platinum ‘Sex’, performed by Cheat Codes & Kris Kross Amsterdam, as well as Yellow Claw’s iconic smash ‘Shotgun’ and more recently Hardwell & Snoop Dogg’s “How You Love Me“, collaboration, OMI’s “As Long As I’m With You”, and Lucas & Steve’s current airplay smash “Where Have You Gone”. On top of his work behind the scenes, Cimo Frankel’s impressive vocals and quality lyrics have landed him features on records for heavyweights like Armin van Buuren, Daddy’s Groove, EDX and TW3LVE.
In 2017, Cimo Fränkel decided to launch his solo career and has been non-stop ever since. Never afraid to try something new, his solo releases have crossed genres from Pop and R&B to House and Electronic. Steadily growing his catalog and fanbase alike, Cimo Fränkel continues to wow tastemakers far and wide with his dynamic performances, standout toplines and overall vibe. Pulling a bit of special inspiration from his all-time favorite artist, Michael Jackson, Cimo brings high energy and and undeniable cool to everything he touches.
Recently he has been on a roll, dropping a number of well received singles including, “Live Without You”. The bubbly, mid-tempo jam brings a sexy energy and neck snapping groove that once again proves Cimo Fränkel to be an artist to watch in his own right. To spice up the release, Cimo enlisted producer duo Hoved for an official remix that helps to transform the commercial friendly jam into an outright dance floor filler. With pumping keys and steady drums, the remix turns out to be a vocal, piano house smash that I will without a doubt be rocking for sometime to come.
Having already dropped off a number of singles so far this year, I have no doubt that Cimo Fränkel has a whole lot more up his sleeve – and I will Be paging close attention.
