Explore the immersive world of Nature Loves Courage new EP, III

A couple weeks ago, Los Angeles-based electro funk unit blessed us with three powerful tracks that will have you charging towards the dance floor. Spearheaded by the powerhouse vocals of McKenna Rowe, the tracks offer a vivacious blast of serotonin to those listening. Following in the footsteps of their previous EP II, the tracks continue to evoke the signature sound Nature Loves Courage have paved as their own.

In the midst of a year filled with 808s and four on the floor rhythms, Nature Loves Courage dial back to more refined, simplistic grooves that need no further polishing. Honing in on a classic sound that calls back to artists like Ladytron or Annie Lennox, the three tracks combine the nostalgia of 90's pop with a modern twist evoking a heavenly orchestra of earworms.

First up, "Elevation" wraps the listener in an aura of kindness, promising to treat all as humanely as possible. It's a mantra we need to hear as a country that remains engulfed in a great divide due to our current political climate. Paired with a magnificent video with animation by Holy Smoke Photography, the four piece rock out on the screen creating a unanimously fantastic vibe.

On the next track "Romeo", we hear a catchy tale all too familiar to many. "Romeo" tells us the story of a player who's charisma enables him to entangle any girl in his illusive web. A slower groove than "Elevation", this track's symphonic capabilities give it a much wider arena feel than the first track. Closing out this monster of an EP is "The Book Of You", who's opening guitar riffs almost give off an early 2000's feel similar to that of The Corrs or Natalie Imbruglia. Though vocally, the track showcases Rowe's distinguishable talent as a musician, wrapped up in a storyline celebrating individuality after a toxic breakup.

Altogether, III is an enigmatic experience bound to have anyone with a pulse rushing to the dance floor. Blink and you might miss it, III is only fourteen minutes long, so what are you waiting for? Give it a spin here!
