Paris based Faul & Wad have recently released a sunny and brilliantly uplifting tune with, “I Need You” in collaboration with Avalanche City. The acoustic inspired dance tune hints and a sound that Avicii first brought to the mainstream while still bringing an original and all around beautiful vibe.
With the original currently sitting at around 2M streams on Spotify alone and finding support from the likes of Robin Schulz, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Plastik Funk, Faul & Wad are now back with a pack of remixes thanks to David Puentez and MTS, Matty Menck and Basti M, KLYMVX. All remixers have found a way to take the best parts of the original and enhance them while bringing their own personal touch.
First up, David Puentez and MTS create a slow burning and dreamy mix built around filtered keys, pads and bright plucky melodic synths that slowly rise to a big Deep House inspired drop. Perfect for you summertime sets, this mix brings a chill yet uplifting feel that is undeniable from beginning to end. After the initial slow start, the second verse keeps the pace with a grooving bassline making sure not to lose the energy.
Matty Menck and Basti M opt for a more Progressive feeling mix full of pulsating basslines and high end melodies. Keeping the track dynamic, they make sure to drop the track down to vocals and guitar before building back up to an overall thumping feel good vibe that hits hard at the drop.
Rounding out the package is KLYMVX who updates the track with slick vocal chops and a Future House vibe at the drop. Again, as all of the remixers did so well, the track is still focused on the guitar and vocals. Add in a bit of a break beat in sections and some big filtered rises, this mix hits while also bringing a bit of a funky vibe thanks to the chopped and screwed vocal samples.
When you start with such a beautiful original it is often hard and yet so important to find remixers who can help to bring it to the next level. In this case, all parties succeeded with flying colors. A stellar pack for an already stand out release.
