With his previously shared releases tearing it up across all the streaming platforms right now, LA-based singer and songwriter Harry Jay is looking to keep the summer alive with the release of his latest disco-tinged offering ‘Pool Party’.
With its fun, fresh and toe-tapping aesthetic, that looks to follow in the footsteps of acts like Chromeo, ‘Pool Party’ is a blissful mash-up of funk, RnB, and pop that is simply too enjoyable for its own good. Filled with pulsing rhythms, catchy hooks, and his own Prince-inspired vocal performance, this new delight will surely be one to blast out anytime the sun makes an appearance.
Speaking about the new release, he said, “Pool Party tells the story of a girl from my past who treated me for a long time as if I didn’t exist or wasn’t important enough to spend time with, but attempted to befriend me when I began gaining popularity for my music. The song encapsulates the frustration that came with wanting to be a part of the “in” crowd and wanting people to notice me, as well as the confusion and eventual disillusionment that came with being treated as if I was “cool” just for my musical abilities.” Listen to ‘Pool Party’ below.
