KiD RAiN Continues to Grow in the Release of “I Like You but I Love Her”

After featuring on Nickelodeon, generating over 1.5m TikTok views, duetting with JC Stewart (and securing Tom Walker’s nod of approval), then being made BBC Introducing’s Record of the Week, it’s been a whirlwind six months for Yorkshire based songwriter and producer KiD RAiN since he launched his debut single in June. Now the first chapter is complete with the release of his vibrant debut EP ‘Bored Of Love’ which includes the new single ‘I Like You, But I Love Her’.

“the title of this new song describes it all, brutally honest. I’ve never been more scared but excited to release a song in my life, I hope people love it as much as I do and I hope my ex girlfriend doesn’t murder me for releasing it.”

With KiD RAiN on the lookout for love, it seems fitting that he made the trip to Rome, the romance capital of the world, in order to shoot the music video. Shot during lockdown, the video sees KiD RAiN performing around Rome’s most breathtaking locations, including a deserted Vatican City and the Colosseum. Striking visuals are not new to KiD RAiN, previous music videos have seen performances in the most colourful village in the world in Indonesia for debut single ‘Say Yes’, and for ‘Bored Of Love’ KiD RAiN sat atop a vintage Audi in the Yorkshire Dales.

Industry support for KiD RAiN continues to grow with the aforementioned BBC Introducing Record of the Week, Spotify Fresh Finds and Deezer Pop Fresh additions following an arena tour with pop giants The Vamps. KiD RAiN has crafted a sound with flavours of Lauv, Yungblud and Charlie Puth and the ‘Bored Of Love’ EP showcases his irrefutable talent and passion for creating pop hits that could dominate the airwaves and fill venues for years to come.
