MCAULEY Crosses Over from The Screen to the Booth with Debut ‘Animal’

Often times in the music business, it isn’t a far stretch for artists to cross over from the booth to the screen and begin acting – but there are far fewer cases where it goes the other way.  Hailing from Vancouver, based in Nashville, actress Laney McAulie may be a face you are already familiar with.  While some of her recent acting work includes a role in Netflix movie, “How It Ends”, starring Forest Whitaker, a recurring role on Hallmark‘s, “Chesapeake Shores”, opposite Jesse Metcalfe and a supporting lead in the upcoming holiday flick, “Write Before Christmas”, starring Chad Michael Murray – Laney is now ready to show the world her other side as solo artist MCAULEY.

Preparing to release her debut EP which features collaborations with Lorenzo Sarti (Zara Larsson), Allen Blickle (Baroness) and more, MCAULEY has just unveiled her debut single, “Animal”, created alongside Robyn Dell’Unto (LU KALA, Willa).  Her new tune is an anthemic, gritty Pop jam that features pumping layers of guitars and synths and an impressive, attitude laced vocal.  Lyrically, the tune touches on new love and our ability to forgo our normal thinking patterns in favor of letting our primal instincts take hold.  As we know, love can  often times cause a sensory overload – and this tune helps us to appreciate the beauty in that.

While acting has kept MCAULEY busy throughout her career, music always held a sweet spot for the budding creative.  Having dabbled a bit in Country and R&B, MCAULEY has finally found her sound, “raw, unhinged, and sweetly imperfect.”  Now, with the confidence that her music is a true reflection of the art she wishes to create, MCAULEY is gearing up to make some major waves in the Pop world and her first offering is a stellar start.
