While Long Island based producer/DJ Paige has had releases on a number of labels, both underground and top tier, it was his frustration with the red tape that comes along with label releases that lead him to start his own imprint at the top of the year. His new venture For Love has quickly become home for his releases while he focuses on creating tunes for pleasure – not for profit.
Recently Paige has unleashed another two gems in quick succession keeping listeners locked and keeping RockDafuqOut quite busy. For a Valentines Day he teamed up with vocalist Jojee for their third collaboration titled, “Feeling”, which serves as their sauciest release to date. A never ending drive takes over from the beginning and carries through to the end while Jojee delivers a beautiful and touching vocal performance. Hypnotic synth melodies transport the listener into the world of these two hopeless romantics and leave them wanting a whole lot more.
Hot on the heels of that jam, Paige dropped yet another bomb, this time taking the melody from the classic tune, “Genius of Love”, by Tom Tom Club and flipping it on its head. Recreating the lead melodies as well as the vocal melodies, Paige creates a grooving, feel good dance floor filler. Just enough like the original to evoke some nostalgia but far enough apart to recognize this as a a stand alone, Paige did a perfect job and mixing the old with the new on this one.
Having already unleashed several tunes so far this year, it is looking like Paige has a whole lot more up his sleeve. More jams incoming. Keep it locked.
