Shyfrin Alliance Announces Sophomore Album with New Single, "Buddha Blues"

Shyfrin Alliance kicks off a new musical era with the release of "Buddha Blues", the first single from their highly anticipated second album, In The Shadow of Time. The project, led by award-winning author, entrepreneur, and scientist Eduard Shyfrin, has made a significant impact since its debut last year, establishing Shyfrin as a distinctive creative force in the music world.

Following the success of their 2024 debut album, Upside Down Blues - a compelling fusion of rock, blues, and romantic balladry with themes of unconditional love and anti-war sentiment - Shyfrin Alliance continues to push boundaries with "Buddha Blues".

Written entirely by Eduard, the track is a captivating blend of country-blues, featuring infectious guitar riffs, piano, Hammond organ, and a gospel-infused chorus. The song serves as a microcosm of the upcoming album, which delves into the profound and often enigmatic concept of time.

The inspiration for "Buddha Blues" emerged from an unexpected challenge. One summer, Eduard found himself repeatedly hearing a popular pop song and remarked to his wife about its fleeting appeal. Determined to write a blues song with lasting meaning in just two minutes, he penned "Buddha Blues" - a reflection on time as a healer and a meditation on resilience.

"There was this song, "Flowers" [by Miley Cyrus], that was everywhere last summer. I told my wife, ‘This song won’t stand the test of time.’ For me, lyrics and meaning matter. So, I sat down and wrote "Buddha Blues" to prove a song can be both catchy and profound," Eduard explains.

The song embodies a Buddhist approach to life - embracing the present, letting go of negativity, and understanding that desires must be examined rather than eradicated. As Eduard puts it, "People misunderstand Buddhism. Classically trained on piano in Ukraine as a child, he pursued a career in metallurgy and business before a personal crisis led him on a deeper quest for meaning.
