Skinny Atlas & Powfu Weave Late-Night Nostalgia in “Don’t Ever Think Twice”

marilyn328

Skinny Atlas and Powfu have crafted a late-night anthem for the overthinkers, the insomniacs, and the hopeless romantics with “Don’t Ever Think Twice.” A seamless fusion of alternative, emo, and indie folk, this track feels like a confessional scrawled in the margins of a well-worn notebook—achingly personal yet universally relatable.

Powfu, a master of lofi melancholia, delivers a hushed yet poignant hook: “I see demons, different spots of your past / But with me, I’ll treat your heart like it’s glass.” It’s a line destined to echo in the minds of listeners long after the song fades, a testament to the duo’s ability to capture raw vulnerability with poetic precision. Skinny Atlas’ production is delicately atmospheric, blending gentle acoustics with moody textures that feel like they were made for late-night introspection.

As the sixth single from Skinny Atlas’ forthcoming debut EP Nowhere Kid, this track further cements his knack for weaving introspective soundscapes. “Don’t Ever Think Twice” doesn’t just sound good—it feels good, like a deep breath after a long cry, like the kind of song you play on repeat when the world is asleep, and you’re wide awake.
