Today I’m bringing you a track from Los Angeles Psych Pop/Acid Folk band thanks. Their new tune, “Annabelle”, is a psychedelic blend of Beatlesque harmonies and Electro Acid Pop instrumentation reminiscent of early MGMT. The single also comes with an incredibly morbid video, that I absolutely love.
The tune itself finds the perfect blend between live and Electronic elements. A totally classic vibe with an intricate arrangement and clean production – the song reads as a love story with a dark, almost psychotic edge. The vocals, stand out from the rest of the track with the effects and melodies making it feel like a drug induced confession.
For me, this song is not only original, but also clever. Everything about this tune feels conflicting, but for some reason everything works.
