The Royal Concept Return with ‘Need to Know’

The only thing more powerful than writers block…is a triumphant return.  After 3 years of silence, Swedish 4-piece Indie Rock group The Royal Concept are finally back with a grooving new tune titled, “Need to Know”.

While fans may have been waiting for some time for new material, this return single should be all of the assurance they need to know that it was well worth the wait.  Recorded at The Boulevard Recording Studio with producer and friend, Chris Seefried (The Kooks, Fitz and The Tantrums), “Need to Know”, brings a jamming, summertime feel via layered vocals, shimmering guitars and intriguing arrangements.

With very little to distract from the tune, the band relies on their natural chemistry and raw musicianship to create substance.  If it feels like this song is a literal jam session – that’s because it was.  About how the time came together, The Royal Concept say, “We wrote the song whilst renting a house in a Russian residential area in Glendale, California. It is the result of cheap Trader Joe’s wine and new bought gear from Guitar Center, which we conveniently returned back before our flight bak to Sweden.

Now with the cobwebs thoroughly shaken off, let’s hope this is just the beginning of a new wave for The Royal Concept.  If not… I’ll be rocking this one for some time to come.
