After spending years as a producer behind the scenes working with chart-topping artists like Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, and Fifth Harmony, LP and A R I Z O N A, the multi-talented enigma has launched VILLA, a collaborative series and artist collective that can feel free to create inside a supportive arthouse of sorts.
Coming out of the gate this summer with, “I Like it Like That“, featuring Landon Williams, VILLA quickly turned heads and made his presence known. Continuing on his mysterious artistic journey, he is back just in time for Halloween with a short visual treatment for the song. Inspired by a love for Tarantino films and an obsession with films from the “Grindhouse” era, the new video is dark, twisted and somehow (for whatever reason) totally works with the tune. Nostalgic, obscure and captivating, the video (like VILLA) leaves you wanting to know more.
The track itself is a Poppy, Funk infused bop that comes with a perfect bounce and memorable vocals. While I can say that I dig both the single and the video, they both leave me with more questions than answers…
